Peter Silling & Associates have been shortlisted for Hotel Design – Asia Pacific in The International Hotel and Property Awards 2023.

Marina Bay Sands has recently introduced The Luxe Collection, a series of guest rooms designed by Peter Silling & Associates to provide an unmatched sense of luxury and sophistication. 

The primary goal of the project was to achieve design excellence by focusing on four essential design pillars: experiential, details, timeless, and layering. The aim was to redefine hotel rooms by offering guests a sophisticated experience that honours local culture and sense of place while providing a personal sanctuary.

The designers have created a clean and bright palette, with intricate layering of clean lines and stylish furnishings of refined craftsmanship, resulting in a contemporary and refreshing atmosphere while being uniquely sensorial and functional. Each guestroom has been thoughtfully curated to cater to urban business travellers and vacationing families who have a discerning appreciation for unique details, seamlessly integrated technology, and bespoke craftsmanship. 

The room’s core accent is a mesmerizing soft palette of pearly silver, neutral, and shades of blue, reminiscent of the surrounding marina. The calming aura of the bathroom, with its emerald-veined marble tops, captures the essence of the lush flora that flourishes within the Botanical Gardens. The minibar, wardrobe, and amenities are tailored, customized, and functional without sacrificing elegance and sophistication. Inspired by Singapore’s Botanic Garden, the bathroom interior evokes energy to help rejuvenate the mind and calm the soul.

The Luxe Collection’s various artisanal features requiring specialized skills include the signature minibar armoire, which stands out as a true masterpiece. This bespoke piece features beautiful custom-painted gold chinoiserie art that tells a poetic tale of a traveller’s enchanting journey from west to east and is a celebration of the botanical beauty and surroundings of the Marina Bay Sands. The design depicts a stunning garden and pagoda surrounded by a breath-taking landscape, reminiscent of Singapore’s iconic Gardens By the Bay. The material palette, lighting, handle details, and hidden compartments are all carefully crafted to house the stunning serve ware and tea preparation counter.

Overall, the Luxe Collection’s design delivers an engaging and luxurious experience that captures the welcoming feeling of coming home with powerful authenticity. The designers’ meticulous attention to detail and calming and soothing colour palette invites guests to immerse themselves in their surroundings fully.
