CHAMPARTE have been shortlisted for Hotel Under 200 Rooms Asia Pacific Award in The International Hotel and Property Awards 2022.

As a part of original Confucius Culture, the space makes the designer think in the same way. By using ancient artisanship, the designer has access to capture the natural details and immerse them into every corner of the design work. The main structure of the hotel is symmetrical which follows the traditional aesthetics.

When designing a project the colours used are important in order to capture the intended feel of the project. In this project seal brown and iron grey were carefully selected as the main colour palette, forming check shapes to spread a welcome attitude throughout. With natural light, it is suitable for friends to chat and enjoy the passing of time.

Parts of Chinese culture emphasise the belief that things have two face, therefore the transparency installations which come from the concept of Shi Hu Garden exist, playing the role of virtual to contrast other actual parts. With fan and wash painting’s featured, the space is completed as a coherent story of Confucius Culture, of virtual and actual and of art and life.

Due to the location which is Confucius hometown, all design is based on oriental aesthetics, developing as much local culture as possible in order to complete the whole works.
